I want to share a few ways that I stay connected without actually being online. I like to try to jump on every day, a few times, but some days (like Saturdays) when I am spending time with my family, I just can’t be online.
FACEBOOK:
Did you know that Facebook frowns upon using outside services to schedule Facebook posts? For this reason, I schedule my Facebook Posts all at once, right from my Facebook Fan Page. Just now, I went onto Facebook and scheduled four posts to go out today. A few were just questions and one was a picture and link to that picture. This will allow me to stay offline most of the day, while just hopping on now & then to write back when I can (or I could do this tonight).
TWITTER:
For Twitter, I use a service called TweetDeck, which I have on my computer for our Blogging on the Side Twitter account and I use another service on my phone called HootSuite for my Your Modern Family Twitter account. I do the same thing. I schedule all of my tweets online at once. (I also do my sponsored tweets, where I get paid to tweet) when they come into my e-mail inbox. (It is so easy!)
PINTEREST:
I try to do my Pinning twice a day- once in the morning and once at night. I find that most of my Pinterest followers do their re-pinning before bed. I sometimes will get on during nap time to do a few pins, too. The easiest way for me to use Pinterest is from my phone on the app. It is so easy to use and I can do this while I am standing in the line at the grocery store if I wanted to! If you want to pay for a service, check out Pingraphy. I don’t do this because I only spend a few minutes a day on Pinterest, but if you feel like it is taking up too much time, check it out for $5 a month. I use Ahalogy (it is free) – it schedules for you.
HOMETALK:
I use Hometalk (if you are a DIY blogger, this is for you!) and I schedule my posts on here, too. I just set it up exactly as I want it to be displayed and I hit the schedule button and schedule it for the day/time that I want it to be posted.
Do you use any of these? What are your best tips?
