I have researched YouTube TO NO END. I even went to the YouTube lab in NYC, went on the (amazing) tour, heard the YouTube staff speak, talked to FAMOUS YouTube bloggers and heard amazing YouTube advice.
Here are some of my favorite YouTube tips, when it comes to being on a schedule:
1). BE CONSISTENT!!!!
Let me bold that, underline it, highlight it, make it huge… for you to see that. Be consistent. Your readers want to come to you to know when something new will be up. Maybe it is just Monday and Friday. Whatever it is- stick to it. Why? (read #2)
2). Don’t go viral and go home.
If you have a post do well, the absolute worst thing that you can do is to have nothing for them to follow up with. So you do a funny video and it goes crazy-viral… and they subscribe and can’t wait to see more… and then nothing. nothing. nothing.
The people at YouTube stressed that this is the BEST way to KILL your YouTube channel.
3). Keep it SHORT, silly.
The other best piece of advice, was to keep the time consistently short. Under a minute. Do this every time until you get some subscribers and you find that they are watching it longer and longer.
PS- Are you following B2B on YouTube?
