Blogger Income Report August 2016 (with affiliate links to the things I love right now).
The breakdown into percentages:
SPONSORED POSTS: 45% of my income.
Book & Course Sales: 25% of my income
Affiliate Programs: 10% of income
Ad Income: 15% of income
Three things that I did BETTER this month:
These tips will have affiliate links to things I’m using and loving!
1- I have been working so hard at my newsletter with ConvertKit.
2- I added Leadpages & saw a huge increase in signups for my courses using the Leadboxes.
3- I created courses!
Things I need to work on:
1- My Affiliate Sales. I make a lot some months, but other months are just slow. I do know that when I send a newsletter to my audience, my affiliate sales skyrocket, which tells me that I need to do more of this. I often add a product in my newsletter (although not from Amazon, since they have a policy in place that you cannot do this.)
NOTE: If you have not been active in working on a newsletter … start now. ConvertKit can help you with every step (seriously).
2- My Store. I am switching to Shopify. I never spend money unless it is to pay off our mortgage or invest it in the kid’s futures (seriously) so this is huge for me. I couldn’t stand people e-mailing me saying that their product isn’t being delivered. This will fix that problem.
3- I have a few other blogs that had taken the backseat, so I found someone to help me get one up & running. Again… trying to spend money to make money. 🙂
Things I loved this month:
Waking up earlier & going to bed earlier. I was always up until 2:00 am, but now I am waking up at 5, going to the gym and then using my kid’s school time to work. 🙂
My goal has always been that my kids have me as a mom, not a blogger, so that meant finding a schedule that made that happen. I still work a little when they are home, but not a lot. I do my big things while they are at school and save my little things to do when they are here & I have a few minutes. That eliminates any stress about working when they are home. 🙂 Yay!
I have also been taking a few courses, listening to some podcasts, & reading more books.
Now, I don’t have much time, but I do try to make time to learn every single day. The more you learn, the more you know (sounds like a Dr. Suess quote, doesn’t it?) No one can know it all, but we can educate ourselves to know more.
